Registered Massage Therapist in Clarington since 2011
As a Registered Massage Therapist, my goal is to create movement and ease in the body through intentional, hands-on treatment. I use a wide range of techniques—from Swedish and deep tissue variations to push-pull forces, gliding, shearing, compression, joint mobilizations, and both passive and active movement. When appropriate, I incorporate tools such as silicone cups to create negative pressure in stubborn or congested areas. The History
I’ve been practicing massage therapy since graduating from Sir Sandford Fleming College in 2011, and continue to be deeply curious about the human body—especially how pain, movement, and postural dysfunction are interconnected. My treatments are guided by both clinical reasoning and a strong intuitive sense, developed over more than a decade of hands-on experience.
Massage Therapy Treatment
I regularly work with clients managing chronic tension, muscle strain, posture-related discomfort, and acute injuries. I also have a special interest in supporting people through the prenatal and postpartum periods—a passion that has grown even stronger since becoming a mother myself in 2021 and 2023. I’m always excited to welcome other parents into my treatment space and offer support tailored to the physical demands of pregnancy, birth recovery, and parenthood.
In addition to general orthopedic care, I have a deep, career-long interest in treating head, neck, and jaw pain. I’ve pursued extensive continuing education in this area and recently completed a transformative 12-week mentorship focused entirely on TMJ dysfunction (TMJD). I also have additional training in pelvic and hip health, and in the use of silicone cupping techniques to address fascial restrictions and stubborn areas of tension.
Philosophy
A quote that really resonates with my treatment philosophy is: “The body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness.” (Sakyong Mipham). I believe the most effective massage therapy happens when both body and mind are given the space to reset. I strive to create a calming, quiet environment where your body feels safe enough to release tension and start the healing process. Your body does the work—my role is to guide it in the right direction.
I’m passionate about upholding the integrity of the massage therapy profession and continually seek new learning opportunities to keep evolving in my practice. My goal with every treatment is to provide thoughtful, responsive care in an environment that balances therapeutic focus with relaxation and flow.
