Why I Always Say “We”
If you’ve been in my treatment room before, you may notice — I say “we” a lot.
"What are we working on today?", "How are we doing with this pressure?", "We can definitely find something to work on". While, no, I don’t bring an army of hands into the room (it’s still just me!), I truly believe your treatment is never about me. Your feedback, your comfort, your goals, and your body’s unique responses guide every decision in treatment.
Massage therapy is never something that’s done to you; it’s something we do together.
It’s about us — working collaboratively to help your body feel and function its best.
Updated Personal Health Information Forms
To align with updated regulations, and to support that collaborative approach, I’ve recently updated my Personal Health Information forms. These forms help me gather the information that’s directly relevant to your current physical concern and reason for seeking massage therapy.
No longer an extensive history of past medical conditions that may no longer apply, or uncomfortable lifestyle questions, these questions focus on understanding what’s most relevant right now. That means:
-
Learning what brings you in today
-
Understanding what your body is currently experiencing, and how you are dealing with it outside of massage therapy
-
Identifying factors that may be contributing to your discomfort or movement limitations, or contraindications to receiving care
-
Clarifying what you hope to achieve through treatment
This focused approach ensures that every session is purposeful, efficient, and designed around your unique goals. It also allows me to adapt techniques and treatment plans as your body responds and progresses over time.
Tailoring Treatments to Optimize Your Goals
Your health information isn’t just paperwork — it’s a foundation for truly individualized care.
By collecting the most relevant and up-to-date information, I can tailor your massage therapy to support your goals — whether that’s pain management, improved mobility, recovery from an injury, or simply feeling more at ease in your body.
When you share what’s going on for you, I can meet you exactly where you are and help you move forward — safely, effectively, and collaboratively.
The Heart of It All
When I say “we,” I mean it.
We’re a team, working together to create the most effective treatment experience possible. Your feedback, your story, and your goals guide everything that happens on the table.
